Swing State Voters More Likely to Vote for Candidate Supporting Big Tech Regulation

POLL AND MEMO AT BOTTOM

(Washington, DC) Today, American Family Voices released a new survey from Public Policy Polling finding that more than three quarters of swing state voters think that Big Tech corporations like Amazon, Facebook, and Google are too big and powerful, while a large majority (85%) of voters worry that their monopoly power price gouging will hurt workers, consumers, and small businesses. Sixty-five percent of these voters are more likely vote for a candidate supporting greater regulation of Big Tech corporations.

Said AFV Board Chair Mike Lux:

The tens of millions of dollars Big Tech spent advertising in battleground states this year did nothing to convince voters that these huge tech conglomerates shouldn’t be regulated. Our poll shows overwhelming support for new laws and regulations strengthening antitrust enforcement against Amazon, Facebook, Google, Apple, and other tech corporations. These ads were done to intimidate members of Congress, but the results of this poll are clear: those legislators have no reason to feel worried.
