American Family Voices Calls on GOP House Leader to Discipline
Congressman Matt Gaetz for Veiled Death Threat
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Matt Gaetz has been leading the charge to make Donald Trump Speaker of the House, over GOP House Leader Kevin McCarthy, should Republicans retake the majority in the 2022 midterms. Today, Mr. Gaetz issued a veiled death threat on Twitter against McCarthy:
“While Rep. Gaetz might think killing political leaders in bloody coups is funny, it’s really quite chilling, particularly in the context of our current political climate post the January 6 violent insurrection against the Capitol,” said AFV Executive Director Lauren Windsor. “Do Republicans think that death threats are ‘legitimate political discourse’?”
